1000 LPH RO Plant for Businesses in Pune & PCMC
A 1000 LPH commercial RO plant produces about 1,000 litres of purified water per hour, which is 8,000 litres in an 8-hour shift and up to 20,000 litres a day on longer runs. It is the workhorse for factories, large hotels, hospitals, campuses and residential townships across Pune and PCMC.
1000 LPH Commercial RO Plant Specifications
Standard configuration supplied and installed by A1Aqua. Pre-treatment is finalised after we test your raw water, because borewell water in areas like Wakad, Hinjewadi, Chakan and Talegaon often has much higher TDS and hardness than PMC or PCMC municipal supply.

Who Should Buy a 1000 LPH RO Plant?
At 8,000 litres per 8-hour run, a 1000 LPH plant covers roughly 2,000+ people for drinking or 700–1,000 people for drinking and cooking. For process water we size on your production schedule and the TDS your process needs.
| Business type in Pune / PCMC | Typical fit for 1000 LPH |
|---|---|
| Manufacturing units & MIDC factories | Drinking + canteen for 500–1,500 workers |
| Large hotels & banquet halls | 80+ rooms, multiple kitchens |
| Multi-speciality hospitals | Wards, ICU pantries, canteen |
| Engineering & residential campuses | Hostels, messes and academic blocks |
| Residential townships | Society-level purified water ATM / point |
| Food processing & bakeries | Process and cleaning water (subject to water test) |

How a 1000 LPH Commercial RO Plant Works
- Raw-water feed: water from your borewell, tanker or municipal tank is pumped into the plant.
- Pre-treatment: the sand filter removes suspended solids and the activated carbon filter removes chlorine, odour and organics. Antiscalant dosing protects the membrane from hardness.
- Micron cartridge filtration: jumbo cartridge bowls stop fine particles before the high-pressure pump.
- Reverse osmosis: the pump pushes water through the 4040 membranes, removing dissolved salts, heavy metals and most microbes.
- Storage & supply: purified water goes to your treated-water tank, dispensers or a water cooler line. The control panel switches the plant on and off by tank level.
Installation Timeline
Once the order is confirmed, a 1000 LPH plant is usually delivered and installed in 2–3 working days. That includes plumbing, electrical connection to your panel, dosing calibration, a commissioning test and a TDS reading recorded at handover.
1000 LPH RO Plant: Daily Running Cost and Maintenance
A 1000 LPH plant runs four 4040 membranes. At this size, raw-water supply and reject-water handling matter as much as the plant itself. These figures assume typical 50–60% recovery.
| Item | Per hour | Per 8-hour run |
|---|---|---|
| Purified water output | 1,000 L | About 8,000 L |
| Raw water needed | About 1,700–2,000 L | About 13,500–16,000 L |
| Reject water (reusable for gardening, flushing or cooling) | About 700–1,000 L | About 5,500–8,000 L |
| Electricity (1 HP high-pressure pump) | About 0.75 kWh | About 6 units, plus the raw-water feed pump |
Maintenance schedule
| Task | How often | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Micron cartridge change | Every 1–3 months, depending on raw water | Protects the pump and membranes from fine particles |
| Antiscalant top-up | Check weekly, refill before it runs dry | Stops hardness from scaling the membranes |
| Sand and carbon filter backwash | Regularly, as advised at commissioning | Keeps pre-treatment flow and chlorine removal working |
| TDS, pressure and flow check | Every service visit | Early warning of membrane fouling |
| RO membrane replacement (4 × 4040) | Typically every 2–3 years | Restores output and purity |
| Raw-water feed pump check | Every service visit | Low feed pressure is a common cause of low output |
Sizing example: a two-shift factory in Chakan
A factory with 1,500 workers across two shifts needs about 4,500 litres of drinking water a day at 3 litres per person. If the canteen cooks for the same workforce, that can add around 2,000 litres. Total demand of about 6,500 litres takes a 1000 LPH plant roughly 6.5 hours, so it can run within one shift and still cover peak days. If process water is also needed, we size for that separately after testing the TDS and hardness your process requires. This is an illustrative calculation. We size every plant from your actual usage and water test.

1000 LPH Commercial RO Plant FAQs
-
What is the price of a 1000 LPH commercial RO plant in Pune?
Our standard 1000 LPH plant is listed at ₹1,20,000 with MS frame. A full stainless-steel skid, softener, UV or a larger raw-water pump changes the price. You get a component-wise quote after the free site visit.
-
How much water does a 1000 LPH RO plant produce in a day?
About 8,000 litres in 8 hours and 16,000 litres in 16 hours. With a continuous raw-water supply and storage, it can deliver close to 20,000 litres in a 20-hour run.
-
How much space does a 1000 LPH RO plant need?
Plan for roughly 8 ft × 4 ft of floor area for the skid and filter vessels, plus space for raw and treated water tanks, a 230V/415V power point (as per pump) and a drain for reject water.
-
How much raw water does a 1000 LPH RO plant need?
With typical recovery of 50–60%, plan for 1,700–2,000 litres of raw water per hour. Borewell water with high hardness may need a softener before the RO.
-
Is a 1000 LPH plant suitable for industrial process water?
Often yes, but it depends on the TDS and hardness your process needs. We test the raw water and your process requirement before recommending a configuration.
-
Do you offer a 2000 LPH or larger plant?
Yes. We supply 2000 LPH plants and 3000–5000 LPH industrial systems. See our commercial RO plant range or request a quote.
-
How much electricity does a 1000 LPH RO plant use?
The 1 HP high-pressure pump draws about 0.75 kW, so roughly 6 units per 8-hour run. Add the raw-water feed pump, whose rating depends on your site, and a small load for the dosing pump.
